In June 2021 took place in the city of Oviedo (Principality of Asturias) a very special event, in the form of an outdoor concert, which involved the sounds produced by 7 bell towers scattered throughout the old part of the city including as the main protagonist the oldest bell in Europe in operation, the so-called 'Wamba', located in the Cathedral of Oviedo.
The maestro Llorenc Barber was in charge of designing and composing the score of this peculiar concert that gathered more than 1000 people through the different streets and alleys of the historic center of Vetusta.
As a result of the free recording I was able to make of this event, in binaural format, this conceptual sound essay was born, which under the title: "Resonances, echoes and transformation on 7 bell towers" borrows as a basis the sonority and the interpretation of the concert itself to create and present from and with this, an underlying sound composed of different resonances and echoes that float in an inaudible way in its original state, the result of the interpretation itself, but that become present to our listening in a 'cotinum sonoro'.
* Since this work contains binaural recordings, the use of headphones is recommended for a better experience and sound listening.
